Capital Concrete Co. Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for New Fairfield County Plant

RIDGEWAY, S.C. – A bright day in Fairfield County set the stage for Capital Concrete Co.’s celebration of its fifth South Carolina facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new Ridgeway plant. Held at 355 Commerce Blvd. in the Walter Brown Industrial Park, the event brought together Fairfield County councilmembers, customers, community leaders, and Capital Concrete Co. team members for a tour of the facility, a delicious lunch, and meaningful connections with the dedicated staff.
The $8.25 million investment marks the company’s first operation in Fairfield County and will create 17 new jobs, bolstering the local economy and reinforcing Capital Concrete Co.’s commitment to the Midlands. The new facility will begin operations next week, expanding the company’s capacity to provide high-quality ready-mix concrete products to customers across the region.
Founded in 2006, Capital Concrete Co. has become a trusted construction materials supplier, with four other locations serving South Carolina. The Ridgeway facility further enhances the company’s ability to meet growing demand while contributing to the state’s positive economic momentum.
Capital Concrete Co. President Rusty Shealy expressed excitement about partnering with Fairfield County and South Carolina to grow the company’s presence. Local leaders, including Fairfield County Council Chair Doug Pauley and Central SC Alliance Chairman Matthew Shaffer, highlighted the benefits this expansion will bring to the region, from job creation to increased investment opportunities.
